There are so many advantages to being part of a small group. Because you won't have to share your instructor with lots of other people, different aims and objectives are easier to achieve, you will learn more and make the most out of your course. Also, we all fit nicely into one car, so don’t have to clog up the roads and the air with another diesel minibus.

It is often said that there is no such thing as winter hill walking in Scotland... it’s all mountaineering. Stepping up to the additional challenges of winter mountaineering can be an incredibly rewarding and satisfying experience. Topics such as snow craft (use of crampons and ice axe) avalanche awareness and advanced navigation will be covered. On a five day course you'll have the option of spending a night in your very own snow-hole.

Scrambling is the wonderful gray area between hill walking and climbing. This course will concentrate on the classic easy scrambles of North Wales such as Tryfan’s North Ridge and The Snowdon Horseshoe.
The harder and more committing scrambles of Snowdonia can be found in quiet remote cwms or on big sprawling cliffs. These scrambles can provide some exceptional mountaineering experiences.

Climbing is a spectacular sport, I could reel off a string of superlatives, but you just have to try it to understand. This course concentrates on the basic skills to get you started.
This course is designed for the large number of people who regularly use indoor climbing walls and would like to venture into the great outdoors.
Leading a climb is an incredibly satisfying experience. This course is for regular outdoor climbers who would like to venture onto the sharp end of the rope.
Placing good gear, building bomber belays, neat and efficient ropework. As well as taking a good hard look at the nuts and bolts of leading, we will also cover topics such as your mental approach to leading, and how this can be altered to enable you to climb harder.
Occasionally, things do go pear shaped and climbers should be equipped to deal with potential problems. This course is designed to teach you a few simple and efficient rescue techniques.
For this course, we'll swap our harnesses and ropes for some squidgy bouldering mats. Without the mental pressures of exposed crags, loose rock and dodgy belays, you can focus on improving your technique and climbing harder.
Dream of White Horses, Cenotaph Corner, The Snowdon Horseshoe or The Welsh 3000’ers in a single day. Whatever your ambition, I want to help you achieve it.
